Scott Pendergrast from Fictionwise has revealed that an Android version of eReader will be ready in "mid to late summer".
The Android eReader app won't be able to read ePub from the start, but according to Pendergrast a similar capability will be introduced shortly after release.
The new Android eReader will also be able to handle ePub wrapped in Fictionwise’s DRM as well as non DRMed ePub.
A Linux version of eReader is also currently in development.

According to industry sources, Acer plan to launch their first Android powered handset in November of this year.
Acer have previously revealed that they will be releasing an Android smartphone in 2009, but have to-date only confirmed that the device will be available during Q4 of 2009.
Industry sources close to DigiTimes.com revealed the information adding that Acer's recent promise to launch 9 smartphones in 2009 could soon see them overtake Asus in the smartphone markets during 2010.

Hewlett Packard are currently developing a mobile-based social network that will be able to intelligently recommend and prioritize contacts based on caller usage patterns.
The Friendlee application will analyze calls and messages made from the mobile device and then use that information to prioritize contacts, and recommend other contacts on the network.
